Frequently Asked Questions answered by Garett Hayes:

Do you have sample playlists? Yes! I can send you links to view a variety of playlists made by couples as well as the playlists I use.

Can I make my own playlist? Yes! I send you over a how-to guide and we work together to make the perfect playlist for your reception,

How do you transition your audio systems for the ceremony and reception? In most cases I use multiple audio systems for easy transitions between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. In cases where there is a flip (the ceremony and reception are in the same room), the use of multiple audio setups depends on the venue.

Do you provide a microphone for the officiant? Definitely! I provide a Wireless Lavalier (lapel) Microphone for the officiant.

Do you provide a microphone for ceremony readings and speeches during the reception? Definitely! I provide Wireless Microphone(s) for readings & toasts along with mic stands and a mobile podium if needed.

Do DJ services include MC duties such as introductions and general announcements? Great question, not all DJs offer MC services and simply read names for introductions, if they speak at all. I provide professional MC services that will compliment the entire event and will facilitate the experience your are looking to provide your guests. Any DJ can plug in a microphone and read names off a list; but having a quality MC goes way beyond just making announcements. The MC's job is to facilitate the flow of the reception while keeping guests informed and engaged as well as set the tone for the overall event; and the job has to be done in a way that is polished and tactful. Keeping guests informed and engaged does not require the MC talk for large amounts of time; it requires effective communication that is charismatic, comfortable, and that connects with your guests. Being high energy isn't about talking loudly the whole time and getting people to clap; it's about presenting the information passionately and connecting with the audience in a way that gets them excited.
